DescriptionPaul von Hindenburg Typed Letters Signed "von Hindenburg." This lot features two letters written by noted German general and President von Hindenburg. He was the man who appointed Hitler chancellor in 1933. The first letter measures 8.3" x 11.5", and is one typed page. The signature is in bold, dark marker. It is dated October 4, 1927, and is on the president's personal stationery. The content is a "Thank You" letter written to someone who had remembered his 80th birthday. The second letter measures 8.3" x 11.7", and is one typed page. The signature is in bold, dark marker. It is dated July 29, 1933. The content is standard.
Both letters are in Good condition with little wear. The letters both have the usual folds. The second letter has a wonderful seal impressed in the lower left corner. Blue marks from a pen are present on the upper right half of the second letter. From the Henry E. Luhrs Collection. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
