Description

Maria Theresa Grant of Arms Signed as Empress of the Holy Roman Empire. Twenty-five partially printed vellum pages, in German, 12" x 14", Vienna, October 1774, granting heraldic arms to Heinrich Berg von Falsenberg. Bound in a red velvet cover with the red wax seal of the Empress contained in a beautiful 6.5" wood skippet attached to by a gold bullion and silk cord. Both are contained within a fitted metal case measuring 13" x 16". Page thirteen contains the exquisitely painted heraldic arms topped by the arms of the Habsburg family. Signed "Maria Theresia."

After the death of Emperor Charles VII in 1745, Maria Theresa obtained the imperial crown for her husband, Francis I.
