Twenty-five partially printed vellum pages, in German, 12" x 14", Vienna, October 1774, granting heraldic arms to Heinrich Berg von Falsenberg. After the death of Emperor Charles VII in 1745, Maria Theresa obtained the imperial crown for her husband, Francis I. We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
