DescriptionLuis Ortigosa Autograph Letter Signed From Mexico City. Good content ALS, one page 4to, Mexico City, April 16, 1848 regarding the writer's arrival in Mexico City. He tells the recipient that he has arrived without incident despite the dangerous roads en route. He adds that on his arrival at Puebla, he had "found that the stagecoach had been robbed with Farinoli in it and still full of blood from an American who the robbers had killed." Near fine condition save a small tear where the wax seal has been opened.
