    King Edward VIII Signature and Wedding Memorabilia. A collection of items related to the only British monarch ever to voluntarily relinquish the throne, including: Edward 1919 Wanamaker invitation for reception at New York City, signed "Edward P" in pencil as Prince of Wales; Rev. R. A. Jardine ALS and signed photo of the minister who married the Duke and Wallis Warfield Simpson; Marcel Dupré 1937-dated signature on card of the world-famous organist who played at their wedding; Major Edward Dudley Metcalfe bold signature of the Duke's best man; Charles Mercier ALS of the Mayor of Monts, France who performed the civil ceremony at the wedding of the Duke and Wallis; Piers Legh ALS dated 1927 from aboard the S.S. Empress of Australia, by Edward's equerry (personal attendant). Other autographs, clippings, and transcripts also included. Generally fine condition. From the Henry E. Luhrs Collection.
