Description

    Karl Dönitz WWII German Surrender Typescript Signed "This document was undertaken by General Jodl at my order. Dönitz 17.6.74" (translated from the German). One page, 10.5" x 7.5", typewritten "Instrument of Surrender of All German Forces to General Dwight D. Eisenhower..." signed near the top in blue ink. Dönitz was a naval leader in Germany during World War II attaining the rank of grand-admiral and was later designated in Adolf Hitler's will to be named president of Germany, a post he held for just 20 days from Hitler's death. After the war he was convicted of war crimes at Nuremberg and served ten years at Spandau Prison. Fine condition. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
