Juan Ruiz de Apodaca, el Conde del Venadito, Two Signed Military Appoinments issued to Pedro Antonio Arispe, an officer in the Spanish infantry. The first appointment (2 pages of a bifolio folded down to 8.25" x 11.75") is dated August 13, 1817, and appoints him a captain. Apodaca signs with his paraph alongside his printed signature. The second appointment (2 pages of a bifolio folded down to 8.25" x 11.75") is dated three years later, and appoints Arispe to the same rank, but with the blessing of King Ferdinand VII, whose stamped signature appears on the first page. Apodaca signs "El Conde del Venadito" on page 2. Blind embossed paper seal is pristine. Both documents are near fine; very clean with bold ink.
