José María Córdova Letter Signed "J. M. Cordova." One page, 4.5" x 8.25", in Spanish, April 29, 1821, to Captain Jose Veres [?] ordering him to immediately march to his location on receipt of the letter. Smoothed folds. With detached address leaf.

José María Córdova (1799-1829), the Hero of Ayacucho, had fought in the War of Independence from Spain since the tender age of 15 and by the age of 20 was serving on the staff of Simón Bolívar. Prior to his victory at Chorros Blancos (1820), he was appointed by Bolívar as military chief of Antioquia. He was a vocal opponent of Bolívar's proclamation naming himself dictator of Colombia and planned to overthrow him. In the battle against Bolívar, Córdova was killed by Irish commander Rupert Hand.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
