    Description

    Jean-Martin Charcot Typed Letter Signed "Charcot." One page, 5" x 7.5" (sight), Paris; undated. Addressed to his cousin, the letter is written in French and on Charcot's personal letterhead. It has been matted and framed along with a lithograph of Charcot, measuring 19.5" x 14.75" overall. Charcot (1825-1893) is known as the "founder of modern neurology", and he is widely renowned for his work with hypnosis and hysteria patients.

    Condition: Letter has usual mail folds, with some light toning at edges, and very light soiling throughout. Otherwise very fine. Signature is bold and legible.
