    Description

Early British Aviation Archive, A unique monument to Britain's pioneer aviators of the 1920's - 1950's, this truly unique three-ring bound album contains 37 double-sided leaves, 8.5" x 11.0", each featuring a particular flyer, group of flyers, or historic event. The pages are meticulously typed with a headline and, in many cases, with an explanatory paragraph. Original photos, commemorative postal covers, newspaper articles, signed letters, clipped sigs, signed notes and postcards are liberally pasted throughout. Approximately 100 autographs are to be found among these materials. One German flyer, Fritz Stamer, is included in the collection as the first to fly a jet propelled aircraft. Aviatrixes, such as Amy Johnson and Pauline Gower, are also recognized. A truly remarkable archive that is organized and ready for serious study or display. The contents are overall in Very Good condition. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
