Diana, Princess of Wales, Archive. Comprised of one framed photograph signed, wrapping paper, one letter, ribbon, and two envelopes. In early 1996, Diana, the Princess of Wales, received a letter from Nicola Graves, a seven year old girl who was ill and staying at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children in London. In response, Diana sent this lovely black and white photograph of herself, measuring 5.25" x 7" (sight), with the inscription: "Dearest Nicola / Lots of love from, Diana." The photograph is housed in a beautiful black presentation frame bearing the princess' monogram, the initial D topped with a crown, in gilt, to an overall size of 7" x 9.75".

The photograph was transmitted with a typed letter from Victoria Mendham, one of Diana's aides, written on St. James Palace letterhead measuring 5.75" x 8.25", dated May 24, 1996, who wrote, in full: "Dear Nicola, the Princess of Wales has asked me to thank you for your letter. Her Royal Highness was delighted to hear from you and is sorry to learn that you are unwell. The Princess wanted you to have the enclosed gift which comes with her love and very best wishes." With the original transmittal envelope. Also included are the original paper and ribbon in which the frame was wrapped and the large envelope it was mailed in. A touching piece of royal history.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
