British Queen Anne Document Signed, "Anne R". Attractive manuscript warrant authorizing funds for Anne's Secret Service, one page, 8.5" x 13.5", Kensington, July 20, 1710. It reads partially, "Our will and pleasure is, That you forthwith prepare a Bill for our Royall Signature to pass Our privy Seal in these words or to this Effect. Anne by the Grace of God Queen of Great Britain &c To Our high Treasurer and Under Treasurer ...You issue and pay or cause to be issued and paid unto our Right Trusty and well beloved Counselor William Lord Dartmouth...the Sum of Three thousand pounds for our Secret Service...". The document is also signed "Godolphin" by Sidney Godolphin (ca. 1645-1712), Lord Treasurer. A remarkably clean and well-preserved document for this period. Two small areas of paper loss along right margin, folds with tiny splits. Fine condition. Framed, 14.0" x 19.0". Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
