Ross, veteran of the Napoleonic War, led the British army that burned parts of Washington, D.C., during the War of 1812. He was killed by American snipers in 1814. Moderate browning; some stains on back, but text is bold and clear. Very good. Includes 11" x 8" print of Death of Gen. Ross at Baltimore by Chappel.
