    Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington, Letter Signed "Wellington." One page, 7.75" x 12.5", Brussels, April 15, 1815, to Sir Charles Stuart forwarding a letter "from the Commissary General containing an application from the Officer in Charge of his Department at Antwerp for permission to occupy a house as a Publick Store." Wellington (1769-1852), the victor of Waterloo, was a career officer in the British Army who twice served as Prime Minister. Folds, else fine.
