DescriptionAntonio López de Santa Anna Signed Appointment as President. 5 pages, 8.5" x 12". National Palace of Mexico; November 16, 1841. Santa Anna grants the title of scribe to the citizen Gregorio Sandoval; as he has been found to have the proper qualifications. Santa Anna signs on the first page, alongside a paper seal. An Autograph Endorsement Signed by Valentín Canalizo on page three appoints Sandoval a scribe in the department of justice in Puebla.
Condition: The three sheets of paper that make up the appointment are bound with string along the left margin. Gently tones With heavy foxing at the top right of all three sheets; otherwise very clean with bold ink. Flattened folds with tiny separations occurring at the horizontal fold.
