    Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna Partially Printed Document Signed "A. L. de Sta. Anna" as president of the Republic of Mexico. Four integral pages, signed on page one, 11" x 17.5", August 7, 1834, Mexico City, in Spanish. The document is a commission naming D. Francisco Conde to the rank of "Teniente Coronel al Comandante Batallon Activo del Oaxaca". The document has as a blind stamped seal of the Republic below that the engraved arms of Mexico. An embossed paper seal is also affixed in the lower left corner of the first page. The last three pages include eleven notations, from 1834 to 1854, regarding the career of Colonel Conde with endorsements by various Mexican officials. Folds and light soiling, else fine.
