Neil Armstrong Signed Original NASA "Red Number" Color Photo. A rare and original 8" x 10" glossy photo, image S-69-37721, of Armstrong in the Lunar Landing Training Vehicle. Signed: "To 'Pat' Patnesky--/ With Thanks for Years of Smiles/ (and trying to find my 'good side')/ All the Best-/ Neil Armstrong/ Gemini VIII./ Apollo 11". Excellent. From the personal collection of longtime NASA photojournalist Andrew "Pat" Patnesky.

The photo description is found on the verso: "LLTV FLIGHT----Lunar Landing Training Vehicle No. 2, piloted by Astronaut Neil A. Armstrong, goes through a checkout flight at Ellington Air Force Base on June 16, 1969. Armstrong is the prime crew commander of the Apollo 11 lunar landing mission. During the lunar simulation flight he made two liftoffs and landings. The total flight time was six minutes and nine seconds; and maximum altitude attained was 300 feet. This was the eighth and final flight in a series of LLTV flights by Armstrong." It was just one year before when Armstrong crashed an earlier version of this called a Lunar Landing Research Vehicle (LLRV). It went out of control and he ejected safely before it crashed.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
