    Description

    MEN WALK ON MOON

Neil Armstrong Signed New York Times Front Page, July 21, 1969. This front page of 15" x 23" has been mounted on black mat board to an overall 17.5" x 25.5". Armstrong has signed at the top above the nameplate in blue ink with the top loop just going off the edge of the paper. The page contains the story of man's first lunar landing and features three photos. There were likely very few papers in the free world that didn't have this as the lead story on that historical day. Very fine condition with some expected age toning of the paper. Excellent for display.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
