    Description

    Signed twice by Neil Armstrong...

Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Wernher von Braun, and others: Signed 1970 Banquet Program. A twenty page, 6" x 11" soft-bound program and menu for the "President's Reception and Honor's Banquet" of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics' Aerospace For Man's Needs program, held at Houston, Texas in the Grand Ballroom of the Astroworld Hotel on October 22, 1970. One of the attendees obtained a number of signatures at this banquet across the three first inside pages of this program. Some of the more notable signature: on the "Order of Events" page- "Robert R Gilruth" (1913-2000); on the "Honorary Fellows" page- "Neil Armstrong", "Buzz Aldrin", "Stanley Hooker" (1907-1984), "Vitaliy Sevastianov", "Andriyan Nikolayev" (1929-2004), and "Wernher von Braun" (1912-1977); and on the "Fellows" page- "Neil Armstrong", and "Bill Lear" (1902-1978). Approximately twenty signatures total including several of major aeronautic executives. The original owner has printed out some of the names and titles of the signers beneath their signatures. An amazing assemblage of autographs: from the first man on the moon to the person who invented the eight-track tape! Extremely fine condition with minor cover soiling.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
