"So Long" to Lola MorrowNASA Astronauts: Original Artwork Signed by Twenty-Six Including Ten Moonwalkers, Directly from the Personal Collection of Astronaut "Den Mother" Lola Morrow. When Mrs. Morrow left NASA in 1969, she was sorely missed by all the administrators and astronauts she had served so faithfully for seven years. This humorous ink on paper drawing, done as a tribute to her upon the occasion of her retirement, pictures Lola at her desk with six arms- typing, writing, paging, talking on the phone, handling reports, and waving- all at once (the original multi-tasker). Beneath is boldly written by the artist: "So Long...LOLA.....Thanks for All the HELP!" Many of the astronauts she had worked so tirelessly for have signed along the bottom, as follows: "Alan L. Bean", "Gordon Cooper", "Dick Truly", "Jack Schmitt", "Charles Conrad Jr.", "Donn Eisele", "Dick Gordon", "Don Lind", "Dave Scott", "John Young", "Tony England", "James Lovell", "Stuart Roosa", "Owen K. Garriott", "Joe Kerwin", "Buzz Aldrin", "Paul Weitz", "Jerry Carr", "Bill Pogue", "Alan Shepard", "Ed Mitchell", "Neil Armstrong", "Joe Engle", "Robert Parker", "Bruce McCandless", and "Gene Cernan". An incredible, one-of-a-kind grouping related to a popular and well-known NASA insider. Sight size is 18" x 16", framed to an overall 20" x 18". Excellent condition overall. Some of the signatures have faded a bit through the years, but all are still clear and visible.
