    NASA Astronauts and Administrators: Five Signed Letters Directly from the Personal Collection of Astronaut "Den Mother" Lola Morrow. Five items, as follows.
    (1) Joe Allen: A one page autograph letter signed on 8" x 10.5" NASA stationery, dated January 5, 1969. It reads, in part: "Dear Lola, Just wanted to drop you a note and thank you for the arrangements which you made for myself and my family during the Apollo VIII launch. Our stay at the Cape was really a perfect vacation... By the way, the overall results of the shot were a perfect Christmas present for all of us weren't they!... Joe Allen" With airmail NASA transmittal envelope included.
    (2) Frank Borman: a one page typed letter signed on 8" x 10.5" NASA stationery, no date [1969]. This letter of recommendation reads, in part: "...Mrs. Lola Morrow has contributed much to the success of the American manned space program. Through her great interests and willingness to do more than the job required, she accomplished a great deal during the final weeks of crew preparation... [signed] Frank Borman".
    (3) Charles Friedlander: A one page typed letter signed on his 8.5" x 11" business stationery, dated July 31, 1967. Another letter of recommendation; it reads, in part: "...In my opinion, the success that has been achieved in the nation's space program is due, in no small degree, to the type of dedication to one's job so typified by Mrs. Morrow... [signed] Charles D. Friedlander".
    (4) James Lovell: A one page typed letter signed on his 8.5" x 11" personal letterhead, dated January 7, 1998. It reads, in part: "Many thanks for sending me the video of the Swigert Statue ceremony... I am happy that Jack received the recognition he so justly deserves... [signed] Jim Lovell".
    (5) Alan Shepard: A one page typed letter signed on 8.5" x 11" Mercury Seven Foundation letterhead, dated July 20, 1994. It reads, in part: "I would like to express to you my sincere personal thanks for the time and effort which you provided during the recent filming of the 'Moon Shot' documentary... [signed] Thanks so much LOLA- Alan".
    All letters are in generally fine or better condition with expected mailing folds.
