    Napoleon Bonaparte Document Signed "Napoleon". One page, 18.75" x 14.5", Paris, February 4, 1805 (15 Pluviôse, an 13), in French. The document is addressed to a French bishop regarding the ecclesiastic appointment of Monsieur Henoch. Following the signing of the Concordat of 1801 between France and Pope Pius VII, Napoleon exercised appointment authority over most church offices within France. The document is countersigned by Hugues Bernard Maret, French Secretary of State and Jean-Etienne-Marie Portalis, Minister of Religion. Bold Napoleon signature. Moderate water staining and weakness at folds, else very good.
