Mormon Church President Wilford Woodruff Typed Letter Signed "W. Woodruff", Also Signed by Joseph F. Smith. One page on President's Office letterhead, 7.75" x 10.25", co-signed by Joseph F. Smith, Salt Lake City, Utah, May 8, 1890, to A. O. Smoot, Provo, Utah. The letter reads: "As you are aware your son, Elder Reed Smoot, has been selected to go on a mission. His reply to this call we enclose. So far Brother Reed is individually concerned we think it would be well for him to go; and the mission itself would prove a blessing to him. But there are portions of the letter that we cannot answer with as much certainty, they are those which relate to his connection with your woolen mills. After giving his letter serious consideration we have thought it well to refer this whole matter to you, as you are familiar with all the circumstances, and your decision, whether it be best for him to fill the call or be released, will be accepted by us. Please let us know your conclusions". Fold creases, else very fine condition. Three prominent members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are tied to this letter. The recipient, Abraham O. Smoot, was, in addition to his religious callings, an early Utah businessman and politician. President Woodruff had been in Utah from its infancy. Joseph F. Smith, signing here as Second Counselor to the President, was a nephew of church founder Joseph Smith.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
