    Millard Fillmore Appointment Signed. One partially printed page, 15.75" x 9.75", Washington, October 10, 1851, appointing "Joseph W. Furbur...Marshal of the United States for the Territory of Minnesota and do authorize and empower him to execute and fulfil [sic] the duties of that Office according to Law..." Countersigned by acting Secretary of State J. J. Crittenden. Blind embossed paper Seal of the United States in the lower left. Slight discoloration at the folds with very small holes at some intersections. Else fine.
