    Description

    Union General James S. Wadsworth ALS Dated 1862 & Carte de Visite. 4.75" x 8", 2 page letter ( front and back). A rare war time letter written in ink to Gov. Morgan asking that the governor allow Capt. Driscoll to continue in service. The letter shows evidence of folds and has some toning. The CDV shows Wadesworth standing with sword to his side. Excellent condition with a Brady backmark. In May of 1864 Wadesworth was killed at the Battle of the Wilderness.
