Union General James Blunt: Clipped Signature and Carte de Visite. Excised from a larger document to a size of 4.75" x 1.25", Blunt signs "Jas. G. Blunt / Major Genl" on February 1864. A small .25" tear is seen at the lower edge. Accompanying the signature is a 2.5" x 4" three-quarter length studio portrait of the general in full uniform, his right hand placed in the breast of his coat, gloves held in his left. The image is affixed to an A.C. Nichols, Leavenworth, Kansas, mount. The mount shows areas of minor soiling; the margins of the image are slightly discolored, but do not detract.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
