    Union Colonel Fletcher Webster Autograph Letter Signed with Carte de Visite. The ALS (one page, 7.5" x 9.75") is written to an unknown recipient is dated September 18, 1861, from "Camp near Darnestown [Maryland] Head Quarters 12th Regt. Mass Vols." It is very clean and is regarding the travel plans of a lieutenant to Philadelphia "on business for this Regiment." The CDV (2.5" x 4") features the colonel in military uniform. Penciled notations in lower margin and on the reverse. Colonel Webster was the son of Daniel Webster and was killed at the Second Battle of Bull Run in 1862.
