    Description

    Theodore "Dutch" Van Kirk Signed Photograph. 8" x 10". Satin-finish color photograph of the Enola Gay. Lengthy inscription in blue felt-tip reads, "The first atomic bomb was dropped from 30,600 feet. It exploded 43 seconds later, about 1800 feet above the ground. The city of Hiroshima was devastated, but millions of lives, both Japanese and Allied was saved. The war soon ended and the killing stopped." Signed, "Dutch Van Kirk / Navigator Enola Gay / Hiroshima 6 Aug. 1945."
