    Description

    Samuel Ringgold Autograph Letter Signed. One page, 8.5" x 10.5"; Baltimore; October 30, 1844. Ringgold writes a letter to a Mr. C. Buck regarding a check at bottom of a letter to him regarding the same matter. This may be a retained copy, as there is a second filing docket on verso in Ringgold's hand.

    Ringgold is credited with many military innovations. He was mortally wounded at the Battle of Palo Alto during the Mexican War.

    Condition: Flattened folds, with light toning and a few stray stains.
