    Roger Atkinson Pryor Autograph Letter Signed "Roger A. Pryor." One page handwritten letter, measuring 7.5" x 9.8", dated October 28, 1864, from Richmond Virginia. Pryor was many things during his lifetime, including: jurist, politician, editor, and Confederate general. Pryor was an outspoken supporter of the South, which led to many duels and confrontations during his lifetime. He was taken as a prisoner of war, and released shortly before the South surrendered. This letter contains content regarding the publication of a letter; it reads in part, "The shameful misprints in your letter, did not (illegible) you, more than they vexed me. Mr. Lyons desired to read the proofsheets, & I could not get an opportunity to revise them. The letter will be carefully corrected & republished in the Semi-Weekly Enquirer of tomorrow." The letter is accompanied by a print of Pryor.

    The letter is in fine condition; the ink is as crisp and dark as the day it was written; the usual folds are present; the letter is backed by a white sheet of paper. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
