Nathaniel Lyon Autograph Letter Signed "N. Lyons." Two pages, 8" x 7.5", n.p.; no date. The letter is addressed to tailor John Earle, and concerns the payment of an outstanding debt and the bill for a cloak, which Lyon purchased in Boston. Lyon believed that he had been overcharged five dollars for the cloak and wrote to justify the payment he was sending because of the mistake in the bill. The letter has been mounted onto a larger cardstock, adhered only along the left vertical edge, with a lithograph of Lyon.

Condition: It appears the top edge of the letter has been removed, but this does not affect the letter text; however, this could be why there is no date or place. Usual mail folds are present, and some slight paper loss has occurred where wax seal was broken. Some small pencil notations are present. Overall very fine.
