    Major General Douglas MacArthur Inscribed Photograph "To the Lowes -/ With cordial Regard/ Douglas MacArthur/ Aug. 26, 1930". 8" x 10". A beautiful sepia photographic portrait of MacArthur at 50 years old, in full military uniform adorned with ribbon bars and marksmanship badges. The photograph has three streaks slightly affecting the right side of MacArthur's uniform. The inked inscription has slightly faded in that area as well. Mounting remnants on the verso.

    More Information:

    He was the youngest Major General in the Army. Shortly after this photograph was inscribed, MacArthur left his Philippine command and was sworn in as Chief of Staff of the United States Army.
