    James Longstreet Document Signed. One page, 8" x 10", "Jefferson Barracks [Missouri]," August 11, 1848. Longstreet was a brevet major and adjutant for the U.S. 8th Infantry recently returned from service in the Mexican War when he acknowledged receipt of equipage from Lieutenant (and future Confederate general) George E. Pickett. Folds are weak with areas of separation; damage to the upper left corner.
