    Group of Three U.S. General Items including: General Matthew B. Ridgeway Note Signed. One page, 3.5" x 5.5", Pittsburgh [Pennsylvania], April 6, 1973. Matthew B. Ridgeway (1895-1993) former Supreme UN and US commander in Korea states: "Autographed with pleasure for Paul V. Scheetz on this historical date, when the United States declared war on the Imperial German Government." [and:] General Matthew B. Ridgeway Autograph Note Signed. One page, 8.5" x 11", New York, January 19, 1981. Ridgeway (1888-1993) places a short note at the lower edge of a Michael Amenta letter asking for his autograph saying, "I have no more." [and:] William H. Simpson Signed Letter and Patch. One page. 8" x 10.5", n.p., April 27, 1945. William H. Simpson (1888- 1980) was a distinguished U.S. Army officer who commanded the U.S. Ninth Army. The letter is addressed to Mr. Bernard Mandel giving him a "...Ninth Army shoulder patch..." and a "...autographed photo of [himself]." Folds.
