    George S. Patton, Jr. Photograph Signed "G S Patton Jr." Measuring 10" x 7.5" (sight), Patton is seen standing in the back of a car, saluting the cheering crowd on his way to Boston, in this Associated Press photograph, dated June 7, 1945. Patton has placed his signature above his image. The photograph bears the handwritten date, "6/8/45," near the lower right corner. Matted and framed to an overall size of 17.25" x 14.5".

    When this photograph was taken, Patton had recently returned to the States after an absence of nearly three years. He returned to Germany and died on December 21, from complications from a car accident two weeks earlier.
