    Description

    General William R. Terrill Document Signed with Carte de Visite. Two items, as follows: (1) A one page manuscript document, 8" x 5", December 12, 1861, an invoice for spurs and straps. Signed at lower right "Wm R Terrill" as Captain of the 5th Artillery. (2) A head and shoulders portrait in uniform with ink ID beneath, no backmark. Terrill was killed during the Battle of Perryville on October 8, 1862. His brother, a Confederate commander, was killed at Bethesda Church. Both fine.
