General Pershing and Field Marshal Haig Photograph Signed "John J. Pershing" and "D. Haig F.M." on the front of a vintage 3.5" x 5.5" B&W real photo English postcard also picturing Marshal Foch (who has not signed). These two men were the leaders of the American and British Expeditionary Forces, respectively, during World War I. Haig was one of the most controversial British leaders of the war; many say that his tactics led to excessive casualties. Pershing, however, was an ally of Haig, both in war and personally, claiming that Haig was the "man that won the war." Generally fine condition with a few folds; still a great image and a particularly nice Pershing signature. From the Henry E. Luhrs Collection.
