    Description

    Douglas MacArthur Signed Photograph. 7.5" x 9.75" (sight), black and white photograph, signed "Douglas MacArthur" in blue ink at lower right. Matted to an overall size of 12.5" x 14.75". MacArthur was born into a military family and showed a natural aptitude for the life of an officer. He graduated first in his West Point Class (1903) and rose rapidly to become a brigadier general during World War I. The Second World War found MacArthur serving as Supreme Allied Commander in the Southwest Pacific. In 1951 MacArthur was relieved of command in Korea when his views about the war ran counter to President Truman's.

    Condition: Good condition, signature is bold.
