    David G. Farragut Letter Signed "D. G. Farragut." One page, 7.5" x 9" (sight), on United States Flag Ship Hartford letterhead, New Orleans, March 2, 1863, to Paymaster R. J. Richardson giving him "...permission to proceed North as soon as you shall have transferred the [account] of the 'Harriet Land' and 'Queen of the West' to A. A. Paymaster Tarbell of the 'Kensington.'" Admiral Farragut wrote this letter shortly after leaving New Orleans to head upriver to support the siege of Port Hudson . Farragut's signature is lightly faded, else fine. Matted and framed with a photograph of the admiral to an overall size of 16" x 13".
