Confederate Imprint: The Trooper's Manual: or, Tactics for Light Dragoons and Mounted Riflemen. This tactics manual belonged to John A. Green, who has signed and dated the book May 15, 1861. Green enlisted as a private in Company "H", 3rd Virginia Cavalry, and was listed as wounded at Fort Kennon, Virginia, in May 1864. The following month he was promoted to sergeant. The Trooper's Manual was compiled by J. Lucius Davis (Richmond, Virginia: A. Morris, 1861, 278 pages). Quarter leather boards, well worn with weakness at the hinges. Many annotations occur in the first blank endpapers. Some staining on pages. Also included is a "Virginia State Ticket" for Election Day, My 28, 1863, for gubernatorial candidate Thomas S. Flournoy. The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
