    Description

    Confederate General Patrick Ronayne Cleburne Clipped Signature "P R Cleburne/ Maj Genl." 3.25" x 1.25", affixed to a slightly larger paper. Born in Ireland, Cleburne planned the capture of the U.S. Arsenal in Little Rock, Arkansas, and participated in several major battles during the Civil War, including Shiloh, Perryville, Richmond (Kentucky), and Chickamauga. He was killed at the Battle of Franklin on November 30, 1864. Moderate fading to signature. This is one of the rarest of all Confederate signatures.
