    Confederate General Joseph R. Anderson Autograph Letter Signed "J. R. Anderson." One ruled page of a bifolium, 5.5" x 8.25", Richmond, June 10, 1861, to Edward M. Yerger of Jackson, Mississippi. On letterhead that reads, "Tredegar Iron Works, J. R. Anderson & Co." transmitting a "list of the Articles supplied already under the General Orders from your state [Mississippi]." A list of ammunition follows. Anderson was an industrialist at Tredegar Iron Company when the war began. The company became a major source of munitions and ordnance for the Confederacy, while Mr. Anderson joined the Confederacy as a general. Bold ink. Docketed on page four.
