    Colonel Isaac Foster Hunt and General James A. Walker: Two Documents. 8" x 12.5" ALS, written on three sides of two sheets of lined writing paper, Wytheville, Sept. 25, 1886, to a Mrs. Jackson on personal and family matters (minor loss at folds). James A. Walker (1832-1901) was a Virginia lawyer and politician who fought at Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg and Spotsylvania Court House. He commanded the "Stonewall Brigade". Sold together with an 8" x 12" manuscript document, 3pp. on a single folded sheet of lined paper, titled "List of detailed men from 13th S.C.V." signed "I. F. Hunt" on the third page with docket on the last page. Fifty South Carolinian soldiers are listed with their company, rank, date of detail, author of detail and remarks. Isaac Foster Hunt (1833-1900) served in the 13th South Carolina Volunteers. He was wounded at Gaines' Mills. He fought at Fredericksburg, Fussell's Mill and distinguished himself at Spotsylvania's Bloody Angle, writing an account of the engagement.
