    [Mexican War]. Soldier Daniel Beldon Letter with Engraving. Three and one-half pages, 8" x 12.5", "Camp near Vera Cruz, Mexico, G. Co. 3d Regiment U.S. Dragoons," July 12, 1847. Postmarked "Vera Cruz Mex July 16." Beldon states that his regiment will leave the following day to join General Winfield Scott near Mexico City. Contains more information about the war. With folds and some soiling. The engraving features Winfield Scott and bears foxing.
