    [Mexican War]. General Horatio Hubbell Autograph Letter Signed and Printed Circular. One page with integral address leaf, 7.5" x 9.5", Philadelphia, May 18, 1846. Hubbell, a brigadier general of the Pennsylvania Militia, writes to President James K. Polk offering "all the resources of the Brigade." The circular, which was sent to Hubbell with his original letter, gives a general answer to such offers, including the order to tender services first to the state's governor. With the original transmittal envelope from the War Department.
