    [Battle of Olustee]. Union Surgeon Frederick W. Mercer Report of Wounded Signed "Fred. W. Mercer." Two pages of a bifolium, 7.75" x 9.75", Camp Finnegan [Florida], February 23, 1864. Mercer, a surgeon in the 2nd Battalion, Massachusetts Cavalry, here signs a list of wounded on three separate days in Florida. Rank is included with each wounded man in addition to his company, location of the wound on the body, and whether he is living or has died. The first day, February 10, 1864, finds twelve men who were wounded near Barbers Ford. The following day, one man was wounded near Lake City. The final day, February 20, finds six men on the list from action during the Battle of Olustee. Toned. Mounting remnants on the verso of blank.
