One page, 5.5" x 8.5", on "The Metropolitan Opera Guild" letterhead, New York, November 25, 1936, to Sara McClintock thanking her for "sending me the Club Roster" and "for the flowers." Belmont was a famous English stage actress in the early twentieth century. With original transmittal envelope. One fold. [and:] Edith Willkie Typed Letter Signed. One page, 5.5" x 8.5", New York, November 29, 1940, to Mrs. W. F. Crowell thanking her for her letters. Willkie's husband was the Republican nominee for president in the 1940 election. With original transmittal envelope. [and:] Evangeline Booth Typed Letter Signed as General-Elect of the Salvation Army. Two pages, 8.5" x 11", on "Salvation Army" letterhead, New York, November 1, 1934, to Sara McClintock regarding the women of America. Booth was the daughter of Salvation Army founder William Booth and their first general. With original transmittal envelope. Folds. [and:] James Russell Lowell Autograph Letter Signed "J. R. Lowell." One page, 11" x 8.5", New York, 1938, showing the five boroughs of New York City and designating the place for the beginning of the "Inspection Parade/Noon, Sat., Dec. 17, 1938." One page, 8.5" x 11", on "Tolstoy Foundation" letterhead, New York, November 25, 1942, to Sara McClintock to confirm her time to speak to the Brooklyn Woman's Club. Alexandra was the daughter of author Leon Tolstoy. Folds and lightly toned edges. [and:] Walter Damrosch Typed Letter Signed.
