Taken by and inscribed to famed Sports Illustrated photographer Tony Triolo.

Mercury Seven Astronauts: Photo Signed by All. A B&W photo, 10.5" x 13.5" sight size framed to an overall 14" x 17", showing the first group of American astronauts pictured outdoors in casual clothing around a full-size space capsule. It is inscribed at the top: "To Tony With Best Wishes From The/ Mercury Astronauts-----". Each has signed in blue ink near his image, as follows: "Walter M. Schirra, Jr", "Leroy G Cooper, Jr", "John H Glenn, Jr", "M Scott Carpenter", "Donald K Slayton", "Virgil I. Grissom" and "Alan B Shepard Jr". Note the early forms of their signatures. This was taken by and comes from the collection of Tony Triolo (1930-2006) who shot dozens of covers for Sports Illustrated. Included is a color copy of several of his Press IDs. The frame is in excellent condition; the photo has several emulsion cracks, some edge roughness, and light soiling. An uncommon, large image that presents very nicely.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
