DescriptionMercury, Gemini, Apollo, and Beyond: Signed Tom Stafford Photo, Vintage NASA Photos, Publications, and Clippings from the Files of Smilin' Jack Creator Zack Mosley. For the last fifteen years or so of the Adventures of Smilin' Jack, Mosley would work space-related themes into the comic strips in order to keep the story lines fresh and up-to-date. He received press material from NASA and other companies and subscribed to numerous publications. When he found information that was important, he placed it into file folders or envelopes for future reference. This lot includes eight of those files with dozens of interesting items. Included is an original 10" x 8" NASA B&W glossy of the full Apollo-Soyuz crew signed: "Tom Stafford", excellent condition. Also included are numerous NASA B&W period glossies with a particularly nice group of sixteen 5" x 7" early astronaut portraits (mostly in business suits) with press captions on their versos. Memorabilia from the Apollo program includes a 9.5" diameter "Apollo 13 Mission Analyzer" from Raytheon. Other material: the complete TIME Magazine from John Glenn's flight, several editions of the NASA-issued "Space Sheet," maps, Air Force photos, clippings, and much more. Generally very good to excellent.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
