    Description

Konstantin Tsiolkovsky Inscribed 1898 Pamphlet Scarce scientific pamphlet in Russian inscribed by cosmonautics and rocketry pioneer Konstantin Tsiolkovsky (1857-1935), 22 pages, 6.75" x 10", (Odessa, 1898). Inscribed on the cover, in Russian "From the journal/ Results of Physical Tests./ Year 1898." Not signed. A pioneering Russian aeronautical theorist and writer, Tsiolkovsky is the father of the Soviet space program. He built the first wind tunnel and solved fundamental problems about space travel, such as use of liquid rocket fuel, long before such activity was feasible. Extremely light dampstains and toning, else fine condition. In 1898, Tsiolkovsky submitted his now famous article "The Investigation of Outer Space by Means of Reaction Apparatus," to the editors of Science Survey. The article, however, was not published until 1903.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
