King George VI and Queen (Mother) Elizabeth Signed Photographs in Presentation Frames. The black and white albumens each measure 6.25" x 7.75" and are signed on the mount. Each portrait is in black textured frame with domed top, embossed with their initials and royal crest. King George add the year "1939" below his signature. Frames measure 8.75" x 11.25". With Dorothy Wilding photostamps.

Offered together with a ticket for entry to the Capitol on June 9, 1939 for the Congressional Welcome to King George and Queen Elizabeth, and a program for a musical performance at the White House on Thursday, June 8, 1939. Also, a transmittal envelope from the White House addressed to Adm. Ross T. McIntire. The program has some annotations commenting on performances made in pencil. These items are included as provenance, as the McIntire's were the original recipients of the signed photographs, gifted during this visit by the King and Queen. McIntire was President Roosevelt's personal physician beginning in 1933.

Condition: Both frames have some wear at edges, and glass is no longer present. The stands of both frames are completely detached. Mounts have some toning, otherwise both images are near fine with bold signatures.
